Thoma Doehring brings over 30 years of experience in colour and design, guided by a belief that the spaces we live in should support both how we function and how we feel. She first opened a Benjamin Moore Design Centre in the Greater Vancouver area, helping clients make confident, informed choices rooted in both aesthetics and the science of colour.
Now based on Vancouver Island, she continues to take a thoughtful, personalized approach—getting to know each client’s preferences, lifestyle, and vision. What began in the early ’90s with a simple in-home colour consultation has grown into a passion for creating spaces that are not only beautiful and functional, but also promote a sense of comfort, balance, and well-being.

You are not alone. With our colour consultation services we work with you to select the colours that will bring your space together. Even when you are trying to stay neutral and simple, you can use colour to highlight your homes features and special quarks. We can help you outline where to start and stop colour and which ones will be best for your space and your style. This service is offered in your home or online if you prefer.

When selecting finishes for your home, there is a lot to know and consider.
Prior to selecting your paint colour, you want to select finishes (there are thousands of paint colours and limited finishes available). Whether you just want someone to consult on finishes you have already selected and confirm your choices or you need someone to select the finishes for you, we can help!

Story Board
Thoma will meet with you for an initial consultation (up to two hours) and then put together a story board to define the overall look and feel of your room. Every home has a story and we would love to help you tell yours!
Conceptual Mood Board: You will be responsible for sourcing all items for your home. PRICE: $995
Full Service Mood Board: You will be able to order your items right away as they will be all sourced and ready to purchase (and within your budget of course)! PRICE: $1495

Amongst those that have traveled with Thoma, it is no secret that she reorganizes furniture in hotel rooms or AirBnB’s to make them more functional for her stay (all the while on vacation). She has even received thank you notes from the owner of the Rental space for making the rooms feel so much more inviting.
Our ability to see function and layout makes us the best choice to help you make your home a livable reflection of who you are. At Thoma & Co, creating a welcoming and functional space for you is our number one priority, we source materials that create a unique and custom ambiance that supports your lifestyle. Not only is the layout of the office important, but so is the colour that can help you focus and breathe. We can help you with design, speak with you about the ergonomics and function of the space. With more and more people working from home, it becomes more challenging to find that quiet space where you can create and concentrate. Quotes are done on a project to project basis.
